I stopped into Blue Bird Bistro this week — tucked into Westside in a century-old brick building, it’s one of those KC gems that feels both rooted and fresh. Dinner was fantastic (great food, even better company), and I hear their weekend brunch is legendary. Think locally sourced, organic plates with a cozy, neighborhood vibe. It’s officially on my return list.

KC’s calendar is packed too: art fairs, burlesque and jazz, 2000s throwback parties, and the Plaza Art Fair anchoring the weekend. Whether you’re brunching, browsing, or bouncing between shows, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your nights out.
