Listen… not every singles event is worth your time. Some feel like interviews with cocktails. This wasn’t that. I made it to Vye Cocktail Lounge for a Jigsaw singles happy hour, and the energy was fun from the top. Grown folks. Good conversation. No weird pressure, no awkward circling like sharks in dress shoes. Just people actually talking, laughing, connecting like we used to before everything went through a screen. Jigsaw knows what they’re doing. You move, you meet people, you find your rhythm. It feels natural—and that’s rare these days. The Smoking Dun
Midweek, good food, better company—that’s the setup. This week was Gram & Dun with the Wednesday dinner crew. Gram & Dun sits right there on the Plaza like it knows exactly what it is. Polished, but not stiff. You can bring a crew, post up at the bar, or slide onto the patio with your date. It’s one of those spots that works for a casual dinner—but I’d take a first date here without hesitation. Lighting right, energy right, drinks definitely right.

I had the Smoking Dun cocktail. Bourbon forward, backed up with orchard cherry, citrus, and herbs, then finished with that smoked ice that brings it all together.
Smooth, a little smoky, a little sweet. Not trying too hard— I had two, just to be sure.
That’s the move here. You order something like that, settle in, and let the night stretch out a bit. Conversation flows easier, the table slows down, and suddenly it’s not just dinner—it’s a whole vibe.
