Kansas City is carrying a bit of Irish energy. The closer we get to St. Patrick’s Day, the more the city leans into it — parades through neighborhood streets, and bars quietly adding a few Irish bottles to the front of the shelf.
It’s also one of the better weekends to revisit the classics. An Irish Coffee done properly. A Black Velvet if you’re feeling celebratory. Maybe a well-made Tipperary if you find a bartender who knows their way around vermouth and green Chartreuse.
Whether you’re out for the parade, a late dance set, or just a quiet round somewhere candlelit, the city gives you plenty of ways to celebrate.
And if the night goes right, you might just stumble into your own version of a pot of gold — usually at the bottom of a good glass of whiskey. 🍀

A little lighter than the bourbon version, but just as elegant.
Tipperary — Irish whiskey, green Chartreuse, sweet vermouth.
Herbal, slightly mysterious, and perfect if you like a cocktail with depth.
Irish Coffee — Irish whiskey, hot coffee, brown sugar, lightly whipped cream.
Simple, warm, and one of the few cocktails that actually improves late at night.
Black Velvet — Stout and Champagne.
Half celebration, half pub tradition.
